Nordic Walking

Presentation
You will be present in la Plagne on the occasion of the 6000D : Runners, supporters! Annette Sergent (Cross Country world Champion) proposes you to try Nordic Walking, a healthy and relaxing activity, perfect for burning your energy without risk. Come alone, with your family or friends. Annette will accompany you on the sunny mountainside.
Nordic walking is a sport developed in Scandinavian countries in the early 70'S. This kind of sport is far more active than standard hiking and it increases the expenditure of physical energy. These walking sessions always include a muscular and articular warming up as stretching exercises.
The use of sticks contributes to the development of the upper body's muscles (abdominal and pectoral ones, arms, shoulders and neck) as well as gluteal muscles and thighs. It also permits to have a better oxygenation. It is a very good activity, less violent for joints and for for for the back than standard races.

Entertainment

At the half-way point you will find a stall offering Savoyard produce where you can taste locally produced cheeses, desserts and wine. You are all invited to try this little with a savayard tasting which will be spiced up with a few surprises.
