The 6000D represents the novelty of 2018 and its renewal in 2019 and 2020
of the 6000D in relay to 2 ... not to mention its 31st birthday on saturday, July 23,2020

The 6000D, a legendary race and the first of its kind, is still considered a challenge by most trail runners. Climbing from the apple orchards up to the glacier is a real feat!

Challenge to 2 people, accessible to all

A positive elevation gain of 3500m for a total distance of 65km to run 2 people.
3500m of elevation gain over a 65km course that takes participants from the village of Aime in the valley to the top of Bellecôte glacier at 3047m via La Plagne's different altitude villages, then coming back down through the forest to Montchavin and finishing along the Isère river.

The atmosphere 6000D

The trail is well marked with 95% of it on regular walking paths. There will be a large, enthusiastic crowd all along the trail to cheer you on you during the 31st edition, on Saturday, July 25th 2020.

Race information

  • Altitude at the start and finish : 673 m
  • Highest point of the race and relay passage to the glacier : 3047 m
  • Starts Aime : 5.00am (new time since 2019)
  • 1st Section Aime / Glacier: 32km - 2740m (D +) - 440m (D-) - 1st Barrier in the Glacier for the passage of the relay: 12.00 pm
  • 2nd Section Glacier / Aime: 33km - 760m (D +) - 3060m (D-) - 3 Barriers (Chiaupe return 1.00 pm, Plagne Bellecote 3.00 pm and Montchavin 4.30 pm)
  • Limit to 250 team
  • Price info coming soon : 00 - 00€, according to date of registration. End of the registrations on Wednesday, July 17th
  • Medical certificate or license compulsory for the registration
  • the age limit for the relay 6000D at 2 people is 20 in the year (2000)
  • For the 2020 edition,Mandatory equipment that will be checked at the start and during the race: headlamp (rider coming up), trail crampons, a whistle, 500ml of water and a survival blanket and a windbreaker will be compulsory (it can be cold at altitude)
  • Strongly recommended a mobile phone, gloves, glasses, cap or other, water and food.
  • Bibs will be given out at the Salle des Fêtes in Aime from thursday 23th until the morning of the race. Piece of identity required for the withdrawal of the bib and this individually
  • For this edition a reusable foldable tumbler to limit waste on the provisionings will be offered to you and it is strongly recommended to use it (more disposable tumbler on the feeding stations)
  • A baggage room will be available 50m from the start point in Aime.


The 6000D will go through the Olympic Bobsleigh track on the way up (km 10)
