6000D edition 2026, 36 years of pleasure… July 30 to 1 august

The 6000D, a legendary race and the first of its kind, is still considered a challenge by most trail runners.

Individual challenge, accessible to all

3400m of elevation gain over a 69km course that takes participants from the village of Aime in the valley to the top of Bellecôte glacier at 3050m via La Plagne’s different altitude villages, then descending through the forest to Montchavin les Côches and finishing along the Isère river.

The atmosphere 6000D

The trail is well marked with 95% of it on regular walking paths. There will be a large, enthusiastic crowd throughout the event to cheer for you during the 36th edition, on Saturday, 1 august 2026.

Access to the new Glacier “Live 3000” will be open for summer 2026 with its new gondola, possibility of stopping at Roche de Mio and the Col de la Chiaupe. An incredible view awaits you at 3050 meters.

For accompanying persons, tickets will be on sale at the ski lift ticket offices at the preferential rate (Information to follow) to encourage the runners at 3050m.

In order to be as close as possible to the Trail spirit, there are only 5 aid stations (food and drinks) and 3 water points (drinks only) over the 69 km. A camel bag or a water bottle holder is highly recommended. Self-sufficient running is recommended.

Organization of the 6000D :

SATURDAY, 1 AUGUST 2026 
STARTS AIME, 4.30 am – PLEASE NOTE NEW TIMETABLE

There will be between 3 and 4 waves of 500 people starting every 15 minutes.

69 km over a marked course with control points and on ascent in the Olympic bobsleigh track.

Race information

  • 69km – 3400m elevation gain
  • Altitude at the start and finish : 677 m
  • Highest point of the race : 3050 m
  • Departure at 4.30 am and the end of the race around 7.00 pm – PLEASE NOTE NEW SCHEDULE
  • There will be between 3 and 4 waves of 500 people starting every 15 minutes.
  • No time limit but last hourly barrier in Sangot at 6.30 pm (65km)
  • 5 hourly Barriers (Plagne Centre 10.15am, Live 3000 (at the top) 12.45pm, Bellecôte 3.15pm, Montchavin 4.45pm and Sangot 6.30pm
  • Limited to 2000 runners
  • Price : 75€ – 89€, according to date of registration
  • Online registration closes on July 26th, 2026
  • Medical certificate : PPS or licence required to validate registration, opening of online registration on 2 may for the PPS
  • The age limit to run the 6000D is 20 years (in the year 2006)
  • Mandatory equipment that will be checked at the start and during the race : 
    Working mobile phone, survival blanket, whistle, reusable cup or flask, 4 pins or fastening system for the race number, waterproof jacket with integrated hood (minimum 10,000 Schmerber – 20,000 Schmerber recommended), trousers, tights, overtrousers or a suit covering the entire legs (e.g. tights with high socks), at least 1 litre of water (1.5 litres recommended), food supplies, crampons or snow chains, a working headlamp + spare batteries and proof of identity (in case of rescue, in particular).
  • Strongly recommended : Gloves, hat, sunglasses, cap, neck warmer, additional water and food supplies.
  • Bibs will be given out at the Salle des Fêtes in Aime from Thursday, 30th until the morning of the race on saturday. Identity card required for the withdrawal of the bib.
  • A baggage room will be available 50m from the start point in la salle Cerrutti located in Aime

The bib can be collected from the salle des fêtes of Aime right next to the start :
– Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 2 pm to 7.00 pm
– Friday, July 30 2026 from 10 am to 7 pm
– Saturday, August 1 2026 from 3:30 am to 4:30 am
