6000D edition 2026, 36 years of pleasure… July 30 to August 1
The 6000D, a legendary race and the first of its kind, is still considered a challenge by most trail runners.
Individual challenge, accessible to all
The 6D Crêtes NEW RACE will take you to the peaks overlooking the various villages of La Grande Plagne (Tête de Jarset, Mont Jovet and Grand Rochette) via a wide variety of paths: carriage roads, single tracks in the forest, ridges, climbs through mountain pastures surrounded by herds of cattle.
The atmosphere 6000D
La 6D CRETES is a new race intended for the general public to participate in the big weekend of the 6000D. This 21km course for 1300m D+ will be accessible to everyone. For this 36th year, a large and enthusiastic audience will encourage you throughout the course, on THURSDAY JULY 30, 2026

- 21km – 1300 m elevation gain
- Altitude at the start and finish : 1979 m
- Highest point of the race : 2558 m
- Start : 8.30am
- Pas de limite horaire
- No time barrier
- limited to 800 runners
- Price : 22€ – 34€, according to date of registration
- Online registration closes on July 26th, 2026
- Medical certificate : PPS or licence required to validate registration, opening of online registration on 2 May for the PPS
- The age limit to run the 6D Crêtes is 20 years (in the year 2006)
- Mandatory equipment : Working cell phone, survival blanket, whistle, reusable cup or flask, 4 pins or fasteners for the race number, waterproof jacket with integrated hood (minimum 10,000 Schmerber – 20,000 Schmerber recommended), at least 1 liter of water, food supplies, and ID (in case of emergency, in particular)
- Strongly recommended : Gloves, hat, sunglasses, cap, neck warmer, additional water and food supplies.
- You will need to bring your reusable cup because there will no longer be disposable cups at refreshment points to limit waste.
- The distribution of bibs will take place at Plagne Center at the start of the race on Thursday July 30 from 7:30 am. An identity card is required for the withdrawal of the bib (individually).
- There will be a room in Plagne Centre where you can leave your belongings

would like to inform you that the Plagne Bellecôte / Roche de Mio / Col de Chiaupe / Live 3000 cable car will be open on Friday July 31 and Saturday 1 August 2026 (bicycles not permitted) to encourage the racers
